Dr Doolen is an excellent eye doctor. He has help me with several conditions over the years. He cares deeply about his patients and will always try to see you ASAP if you have and urgent condition. I highly recommend him.

Such a great place. Dr. Doolen was wonderful. He made me feel so comfortable during my exam. He was very patient with me he explains everything as he’s doing it so you actually know what’s happening. His office staff are so friendly they actually stayed late with me to find the perfect fitting glasses and sunglasses for my face. The selection of glasses are wonderful. Great place great staff friendly atmosphere great visit. Definitely going back again.

I recently had an eye exam with Dr. Bradley Doolen, and I was extremely impressed with the level of care and professionalism he provided. Had a great experience with Dr. Doolen and his office staff. Easy to make an urgent appointment with them; they actually answer the phones and treat you with some human empathy. The doctor was prompt and took his time to explain everything. Would highly reccomended for regular or urgent eye care.

They always prescribe what is genuinely right for you — never more, never less. When it comes to choosing eyeglass frames, they take the time to help you find something that fits your face, your personal style, and your budget. You never feel pressured. Before going to Dr. Doolen, my husband was actually over-prescribed by another eye doctor. Under Dr. Doolen’s care, his eyesight improved dramatically. That level of integrity and expertise is rare. We are incredibly grateful and highly recommend this practice.

It’s rare to find warm and caring medical providers these days, but I must say that Dr. Doolen is one of them. He is very thorough and up to date with all the latest medical technologies. I was very fortunate to have found such a great doctor. The office workers are also very kind and helpful, especially Marlene she was amazing. She spent whatever time was necessary to fit me into the most modern and stylish glasses that made me feel and look great. After going through many eye doctors, I found the best one. Dr Doolen is amazing he explains everything in details and helps me find the right vision and professional. Had a great first experience here - everyone that works there is so nice and welcoming. And Dr. Doolen was great at explaining any questions I had.

My son just started working in the trades—he’s only 19. During a job, a small piece of metal got embedded in his cornea. Dr. Doolen fit him in right away as an emergency, removed the metal quickly, and treated the injury with such care and precision. If you work in the trades or play sports, save his number. The last time I went to urgent care with an eye injury, they wouldn’t even touch it. It’s a huge relief knowing there’s a doctor who actually handles situations like this. Dr. Doolen and his staff were amazing—professional, compassionate, and efficient. They made sure my son got exactly the care he needed, right when he needed it. I highly recommend him for eye injuries and emergency situations like these.

Dr. Doolen is attentive and patient as a doctor. This is only my 2nd eye doctor that I can remember and Dr. Doolen compares to the all time legend Dr. Glatt in Bloomfield. My appointments never feel rushed and I leave understanding my eye health better. The other 2 staff that I have met are also very personable and pay close attention to health insurance detail so you can find the best eye-ware/frame fit.

I was originally very happy with Dr. Doolen and his receptionist. They were both very friendly and knowledgeable. My reservations grew over time. First, the window to pick up glasses was very short. There were only a few hours during the week, which did not work with my schedule. I ended up having to drive to the Verona office to pick up my glasses even though I live in Union. I used only the microfiber cloth they provided to clean my new glasses and treated them with care. Within a month they were completely scratched. This was last May. I have never had a problem with scratches otherwise. When I brought them back they told me that they had been tested for scratch resistance and it was on me. I went elsewhere for replacements. Fast forward to now. I am eligible for a yearly exam, so I made an appointment with another provider. When I gave them my insurance information they told me that the insurance account showed I was ineligible to be seen for another year. Called the insurance provider and was informed that Dr. Doolen’s office had put in a claim for an appointment I had never made or attended. They charged my insurance for a service they had never provided! Unless you want extra headaches please go elsewhere!

Marlene is just as fantastic. She makes picking out new frames actually fun and really helps you find the right style without pressure. She’s warm, supportive, and genuinely wants you to leave feeling great. The whole team is kind, professional, and welcoming. Appointments run on time, and they always do their best to accommodate. It’s rare to find a medical office that feels this caring and personal. I can’t recommend them enough!

Dr. Doolen is personable, patient, knowledgeable and encourages his patients to ask questions. One of my favorite things about Dr. Doolen is that he provides detailed information about the conditions that one is experiencing. Marlene Marino is equally warm and engaging and is wonderful at creating a whole experience around picking out new frames. It's hard to find medical practitioners nowadays that are authentically caring. Dr. Doolen, Marlene and staff are the exception and make their patients feel well attended to, both professionally and kindly.

I highly recommend this office for glasses! My daughter is 4 and needed glasses and Marlene was so helpful, patient and flexible! She told us everything we needed to know about glasses for my daughter and made the process extremely easy and without a hassle! This process could take hours but because of Marlene’s knowledge and help it took a short time. I highly recommend coming here for glasses. Great experience overall and We will definitely be coming back for our next pair! Follow up a few year later… Marlene was amazing once again and helped pick out new glasses for my daughter in such a short time and was so helpful! This process can take a very long time and we were in and out so fast with new amazing glasses picked out! Highly highly recommend !! Follow up.. my daughter needed glasses again and Marlene was so helpful once again. We were in and out so fast with 2 new pair of glasses. I love this place! The frames are great and so is the staff. Everywhere I go people ask about where I got my glasses. I would definitely recommend this place

I agree with the two prior reviews! DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE! My family has been clients here for over 10 years and purchased many pair of glasses and contacts here. Today I was misled by Marlene that my change of prescription to my eyeglasses would be covered by my insurance. When I got home and realized, only 15 minutes later, that my glasses were not at all covered, I called to cancel. I was told I could not cancel and if I did I would have to pay a 40 % penalty. The charges were very high and are unaffordable for my family at this time. I received no consideration, no help, no care. I have never been treated this way before by a " health care provider". I will never use this office again and urge everyone to stay away.
